Graphite heat exchanger processed heat exchangers have round holes, cylindrical tubes, rectangular block holes, plates, squirrel cage and so on. From the application of graphite heat exchanger in petrochemical production, graphite heat exchanger is one of a wide variety of unit equipment, accounting for about 20% of the total investment in petrochemical plants, accounting for about 40% of the chemical equipment in the whole plant.
Graphite is not only acid and corrosion resistant, but also has good thermal conductivity. The graphite core is made into a block hole structure separated vertically and horizontally from each other. When the two media pass each other, the high-temperature medium continuously transfers heat to the graphite heat exchanger, and the low-temperature medium continuously obtains heat from the heat exchanger, thus realizing heat exchange. Graphite heat exchanger is a heat transfer element made of graphite. The graphite used in the heat exchanger should be impermeable. Usually, impregnated impermeable graphite and pressed impermeable graphite are used.
Heat exchangers made of graphite include round holes, column tubes, rectangular block holes, plates, squirrel cages and others. Considering the heat transfer efficiency, fluid flow resistance, structural strength, manufacturing cost, installation and maintenance of thermal graphite heat exchangers, round hole graphite heat exchangers are widely used.
Regardless of the model of the round hole graphite heat exchanger, the heat exchange of the two fluids during this period is carried out in a simple folding manner. Therefore, from the point of view of heat exchange flow, there is no substantial difference between these types. When calculating the average temperature difference, the logarithmic average temperature difference should be calculated according to the countercurrent flow and multiplied by the positive coefficient considering the flow direction.
As for these types can withstand pressure, which heat exchange effect is not general, to consider the material of graphite itself, the thickness of the partition wall, impregnation quality, heat treatment quality. This is the same YKC type or YKD type, the hole is not the same, so the heat transfer effect and pressure is not the same.
From the earliest bonded graphite heat exchanger to the current replaceable tube heat exchanger, graphite tube sheet has been used in graphite heat exchanger, and many domestic chemical enterprises have been using it for more than ten years. Up to now, no equipment scrap phenomenon caused by graphite tube sheet problem has been found. It has a long history and plays an indispensable role in our industrial production.
Here, I would like to remind users who use cooling water (direct use of rivers) as a cooling medium to ensure that there is no large amount of sediment in the cooling water when using graphite equipment to prevent the cross-hole from being clogged (we have encountered a similar situation), which affects the effect of heat transfer (tube heat exchanger is not easy to clog).
