The graphite materials prepared by this method have high strength and good heat transfer properties, and can be used to prepare large-size, large heat transfer area of block-hole type or tubular graphite heat exchangers, but the production cycle is long, the cost is high, and the base material is thick.

 The application of this technology is quite popular around the world and has been largely eliminated. At present, most of the graphite heat exchangers in China are produced by process. Artificial graphite particles mixed with coal tar pitch, vibration molding, baking, resin impregnation, processing and assembly. The production cost is much lower than one or two technical routes.

 Graphite high strength, stable quality, especially graphite electrode shortage. Graphite heat exchanger manufacturers use this process to produce block graphite heat exchanger. Petroleum coke (particle size 0.1-0.2 mm) mixed with coal tar pitch, crushed, ground, molded, roasted, graphitized, resin impregnated and assembled by machining.
